With the
introduction of the PlayStation Portable (PSP) it was only a matter of
time before a train simulation game was introduced. Well this has
happened in Japan! The screenshots show a game with a similar interface
as the 'Train Simulator Real' series games by Sony.
The track and scenery are based on recorded video footage and you
control the playback speed with the controls of the PSP unit. Drawback
is a stuttering image when running at slow speeds, important to know
when you are slowing down to a stop in stations.
The bottom bar shows the signal aspects, max. speed allowed and
distance to station stop marker (yyellow diamond). In the upper-right
corner you see a clock, actual s[eed, max. speed allowd (65 km/h) and
the distance to the station stop marker. You see this after you brought
the train to a stop at a station.
A screenshot when 'en route'. Yo get bonuses when you performed certain
tasks, like sounding the horn at danger points etc. In the upper-left
corner there are the actual time and arrival time, in the top-centre
there's your score, the upper-right corner shows the accelarator/brake
setting. In the lower right you find additional information on
gradients etc.
